Additional Notes |

It is strongly recommended you read the Sniping rules before using this weapon. This weapon must be fired from a fixed position. Using a scope on a sniper rifle does not provide the standard -1Df to hit. The accuracy of these weapons are reflected in their ranges. |
The NTW-20 is one of a new group of 20mm rifles designed for the military market. These weapons far surpass the .50 cal in terms of power, which make them perfect for roles such as EOD (Explosive Ordinance Demolitions), anti-vehicle missions, and use against high-value installations. There are also obvious applications for Aegis, who's agents must sometimes conduct operations against targets tougher than anything in a conventional army. The 20x83.5mm cartridge fired by the weapon has a bullet large enough to allow for HE with fragmentation, and can punch through virtually anything on land with the exception of a tank. A longer version of the NTW is also available in 14.5mm cartridge, which although posessing superior ballistics, does not pack as much explosive in the bullet. Although not intended to strike human-sized targets, the NTW-20 can pose a serious threat to any MiB with a field generator within 150 meters.
The NTW-20 is a South African design bolt-action intended to provide the capability of a cannon in a rifle. Despite the enormous power of its cartridge, the recoil has been kept manageable through the use of three recoil dampening systems, using hydraulics, springs, and a muzzle brake. Accuracy is somewhere around 2 MOA, and while the weapon can only produce groups (the area in which bullets will hit) of 8cm at 150 meters, it remains within 25cm at 750 meters. The weapon is typically carried disassembled in two backpacks, each weighing around 15kg. It is equipped with a 3-round magazine to supplement the round in the chamber. Military organizations have been slow to adopt 20mm weapons, but the NTW has been purchased by Indian special forces.
